Coach Ty's passion for basketball has been a lifelong journey, starting from the young age of three. With extensive experience playing organized basketball, Coach Ty has developed a deep understanding of the game from multiple perspectives. His impressive career includes coaching at the highest high school level, acting as an assistant coach and co-founder of a basketball non-profit for over five years, and serving as a certified regional referee for the OSAA. His diverse background provides him with a unique vantage point, blending the insights of a player, coach, and referee to offer comprehensive guidance to young athletes.

Coach Ty's expertise extends to AAU coaching, teaching basketball classes, and working as a basketball trainer and skill development coach. As the head scout for two different high school varsity programs, he has honed his ability to identify and nurture talent. His dedication to helping kids who may not have access to traditional opportunities sets him apart, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and support in youth sports.

Growing up in a large family with 24 nieces and nephews has shaped Coach Ty's ability to connect with children of all ages. His player/coach mentality means he shares in the excitement of every new skill learned and every victory achieved, whether big or small. Coach Ty's approach ensures that while athletes train hard and receive expert guidance, they also have fun and enjoy the learning process.
